    WHY TEST FOR CHLAMYDIA?

Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections especially in females between the ages of 18 and 35.

Chlamydia is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis and usually presents with no symptoms which is why it spreads so easily.

It is easily treatable with antibiotics but left untreated, can lead to complications such as inflammation of womb, pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.

WHAT IS THE SELFCHECK FEMALE CHLAMYDIA TEST?

The SELFCheck Female Chlamydia Test requires a swab from the lower vaginal area which is then immersed in a solution which detects the presence or absence of chlamydia infection.
