    WHAT ARE HUXD3 20,000 UNIT CAPSULES?

    HuxD3 20,000 unit capsules contain the active ingredient colecalciferol (also spelt as cholecalciferol), which is a form of vitamin D. Vitamin D is naturally found in certain foods such as oily fish, liver and egg yolks and is also produced in the skin after exposure to the sun.

    Some individuals may have deficiency of vitamin D due to their diet or lifestyle. The active ingredient in HuxD3 is used in the initial treatment of clinically relevant vitamin D deficiency conditions in adults.

    HuxD3 capsules are:

    • Peanut, soya and nut oil free
    • Gelatine free
    • Suitable for vegetarians
    • Certified as halal and kosher
    • Alcohol free
    • Highly absorbable
    • Preservative free
    • Yeast free
    • Also free from milk, dairy, lactose, gluten, eggs, flavours or colours

    HOW DO YOU TAKE HUXD3 20,000 UNIT CAPSULES?

    Take one capsule every two weeks or as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

    Capsules should be swallowed whole with water. If you have difficulty swallowing, the capsule may be burst in the mouth, Alternatively, it may be burst and its contents put in food. Ideally HuxD3 should be taken with the largest meal of the day to ensure maximum absorption.

    CAUTIONS AND HAZARDS

    Do not take HuxD3 20,000 unit capsules if:

    • You are allergic (hypersensitive) to vitamin D, colecalciferol or HuxD3 or any of the other ingredients in the capsules
    • You have high levels of vitamin D or calcium on your blood or urine
    • You have kidney problems including kidney stones
    • You have a tendency to form calcium-containing kidney stones
    • You suffer from Pseudohypoparathyroidism
    • You suffer from Sarcoidosis

    You should always consult your doctor before starting treatment with any high dose vitamin D supplement such as HuxD3. This is particularly important if you suffer from any other conditions or are taking other medications (including other vitamin D supplements).

    It is important that high dose vitamin D supplements are used exactly as recommended by your doctor as they can be harmful if taken incorrectly or for a prolonged period of time.

    Food supplements such as HuxD3 are intended to supplement the diet and should not be regarded as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.

    HOW TO STORE

    Keep out of sight and reach of children. Ideally keep the product in its original packaging.

    Do not use HuxD3 after the expiry date, which is stated on the carton as ‘EXP’ or ‘BB’. The expiry date or best before date refers to the last day of the month.
