    What is Paracetamol?

    Paracetamol is used to relive mild to moderate pain and can be used to help lower a high temperature.

    It can help relieve mild to moderate pain in e.g. headaches, colds, toothaches and period pain.

    How do you take Paracetamol?

    Adults including the elderly and children over 16 years should take one to two tablets 500mg tablets every 4-6 hours as required, to a maximum of 8 tablets daily in divided doses.

    The tablets should be taken orally and swallowed whole with a drink of water.

    It is important to take the tablets as directed, so if you are unsure please contact your GP or our support team at PostMyMeds.

    You should not take any other paracetamol containing product whilst taking this medicine.

    What are the side effects of Paracetamol?

    Paracetamol is usually very well tolerated when taken as prescribed.

    You should avoid alcohol while taking this medicine reduce the risk of side effects.

    Can you take Paracetamol in pregnancy and during breast feeding?

    Paracetamol can be taken during pregnancy if needed, but it should given at the lowest effective dose for the lowest possible time.

    What should I do if I take too much Paracetamol?

    Do not take more than 2 tablets at a time every four to six hours if needed and do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.

    Paracetamol is available in many forms and it is often combined with other ingredients so it is important to make sure you do not take anything else containing paracetamol while taking this medicine.

    If you take too much of this medicine, talk to a doctor immediately, even if you feel well.

    It is important to seek medical attention immediately as this is essential in the management of paracetamol overdose.

    How do I store Paracetamol tablets?

    Paracetamol tablets should be stored in a dry place below 25 ℃, it should be protected from light and should be kept out of the reach and sight of children.
