Tooth decay may not cause any symptoms until it has reached an advanced stage, and as the problem develops certain symptoms may emerge including:

  • Toothache or tooth pain
  • Tooth sensitivity
  • Grey, brown or black spots appearing on your teeth
  • Bad breath
  • Unpleasant taste in your mouth
  • Front tooth decay can look unsightly

If left untreated, further complications including cavities, gum disease or dental abscesses may occur.
